Zhang Yiyi, Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, is the Deputy Director of the Development Planning Department of Guangxi University, the leading figure in the High Voltage and Insulation Technology discipline, an outstanding expert in the Guangxi Autonomous Region, a BaGui Young Scholar, and the head of provincial and ministerial-level innovation platforms/teams. He is dedicated to solving the issues related to the safe operation and improved insulation performance of transformers in the unique southern environment.

Professor Zhang has led one key Research and Development project in Guangxi (with funding exceeding 10 million RMB), two National Science Foundation projects (including one General Program), two major industry-funded projects, one Guangxi Outstanding Youth Fund project, one China Postdoctoral Fund project, and one patent transformation project (with funding exceeding 1 million RMB). As the first or corresponding author, he has published 31 SCI papers, including five highly cited papers.

As the primary contributor, Professor Zhang has received numerous accolades, including the First Prize for Technological Invention in Guangxi, the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award (Individual), the Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, the Special Prize for National Equipment Management and Technological Innovation Achievements, the Guangxi Youth Science and Technology Award, and the First Prize for Guangxi Higher Education Teaching Achievement.
