The predecessor of the School of Electrical Engineering can be traced back to the original Department of Electrical Engineering of the School of Science and Technology of Guangxi University in 1938. The school has two national first-class undergraduate programs: Electrical Engineering and Automation (1938-present) and Automation (1971-present), Guangxi first-class discipline of Electrical Engineering, doctoral program of first-level discipline of Electrical Engineering, postdoctoral research station of Electrical Engineering, master program of first-level discipline of Electrical Engineering, as well as two Professional Master’s Degree Programs: Energy and Power (Electrical Engineering Direction) and Electronic Information (Control Engineering Direction)
